Refunds

We understand, classes can be HARD! If you need to withdraw or ‘drop’ a class, reduce your credit load – make sure you follow the proper processes as defined by the 2024-2025 Course Catalog. Certain state and federal guidelines require Jacksonville College to refund a pro-rated portion of your mandatory tuition and fees, and in some cases this creates a credit balance. Typically, these cases apply to students who have paid their balances in full. In other cases, a credit balance may be created through the disbursement of financial aid. When a credit balance is created, a refund check will be issued – watch your student Empower access for activity throughout the semester.

Scholarship and financial assistance is not disbursed if a student withdraws before the end of the registration period. For more information regarding the Office of Financial Aid and procedures related to those programs, visit the website or view the Financial Aid Handbook

Jacksonville College credit balance refunds will be processed 4-6 weeks after the 12th class day.Credit balances of $1 or less will not be refunded in accordance with the FSA Handbook
